Someone just arrived in Cancun and now the New York Yankees are at his door.
The Yankees are in discussions with recently retired pitcher Corey Kluber over a possible front office role, according to a Thursday report from Erik Boland of Newsday. Boland notes that the two parties are talking about Kluber having an advising position in the Yankees organization that is still up in the air.
After 13 seasons in the major leagues, 37-year-old Kluber—who won two AL Cy Young Awards with the Cleveland Indians in the past—announced last week that he was retiring. He currently resides in the New York region and pitched for the Yankees during the 2021 MLB season.
