Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United delivered a sensational first-half performance at St James’ Park, netting four goals against Girona in the opening 45 minutes of the Sela Weekender.

 

Sean Longstaff set the tone early, scoring just two minutes in after connecting with a cut-back from Livramento. Jacob Murphy then doubled the lead with his fifth goal of pre-season, just 10 minutes later.

 

Anthony Gordon made it 3-0 with a sharp finish before Alexander Isak had a penalty saved. Longstaff struck again, this time from close range at the Gallowgate End, wrapping up a dominant half for the Magpies.
