VIEWS; Stoke City’s acquisition of Troy Parrott “would tick a lot of boxes.”

It’s no secret that Stoke City will be looking for one or two strikers this summer transfer window, but the type of striker Jon Walters and Steven Schumacher should prioritize is still up for discussion.

Providing their opinions are Stoke supporters Jon Owen from Seabridge, Liam Hall from Dresden, and Richard James from Blythe Bridge. Do you agree or disagree with their views?

**Jon Owen:** “We need a Kieffer Moore-type to lead the line. I’ve wanted us to sign Kieffer Moore for years, and while he’s likely unavailable this summer, someone like him to really lead the line would be ideal. The best we’ve looked since dropping to the Championship was with Steven Fletcher up front. His physical presence helped Tyrese Campbell and Nick Powell shine. I hope we can replicate this with Junho and Manhoef playing off a target man.”

**Liam Hall:** “Data can find the right striker to suit our system. I’m not overly concerned with a striker’s past goal tally—though it’s useful, it often means paying a premium or signing someone past their prime, and we’ve failed with that approach too often. I want us to use data to find a striker who fits Schumacher’s system, much like how Carlton Morris and Adebayo fit at Luton. Names like Cannon, Stansfield, and Delap will be discussed, and one could be the answer if attainable. We need someone who fits the system and can bring out the best in Bae and Million, who should both aim for 10+ goals this season.”

**Richard James:** “I’d love us to go for Troy Parrott. The issues we faced up front last season have been persistent, despite spending on both potential and experience. Ideally, we need a striker in current goal-scoring form, not one who peaked years ago. Troy Parrott, who had a great season in the Dutch top flight with 17 goals, fits the bill. He’s young, experienced, and a strong finisher. Another promising option is Tom Cannon, who had an impressive loan at Preston but didn’t get much chance at Leicester due to a back injury. A season-long loan for Cannon could be good business. Adding these two would significantly boost our attack with Junho and Manhoef providing support. Over to Super Jon and his team now…”
