The Young Player Award nominees are Lyall Cameron, Ross McCausland, Lennon Miller, and David Watson; the Women’s POTY nominees are Jorian Baucom, Amy Gallacher, Kirsty MacLean, and Rachel Rowe; MacLean is also on the Young Player shortlist alongside Ava Easdon, Bayley Hutchison, and Mia McAulay; the winners will be revealed on May 5.
The PFA Scotland Player of the Year nominees include Jack Butland and James Tavernier of Rangers, as well as Lawrence Shankland.
Along with Amy Gallacher of Celtic and Jorian Baucom of Hibernian, two Rangers players, Kirsty Maclean and Rachel Rowe, are also nominated for the Scottish Women’s Premier League player of the year award.
The men’s young player of the year nominees are Ross McCausland of the Rangers, Lennon Miller of Motherwell, David Watson of Kilmarnock, and Lyall Cameron of Dundee.
On Sunday, the winners will be declared.
O’Riley, a 23-year-old Danish midfielder, has 14 goals in 44 games this season for Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic, including one against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semifinal.
With 21 goals this season, Scotland attacker Shankland, 28, leads all Premiership scorers with 28 goals total.
Rangers won the League Cup late in the previous season thanks to goalkeeper Butland, 31, and his captain, 32-year-old Tavernier, whose right-back scored the game’s lone goal and went on to become Britain’s top-scoring defender later in the campaign.
The Ibrox team will play their local rivals in the Scottish Cup final. They are competing against Celtic for the Premiership title.
Midfielders Cameron, McCausland, Miller, and Watson have collectively played for 135 senior club games this season and scored 14 goals; McCausland made his debut for Northern Ireland in November.
Celtic leads Rangers by two points and is leading the SWPL thanks to forward Gallacher.
Rangers’ midfielder Rowe, who started at Hampden and scored in March’s SWPL Cup final victory against Partick Thistle, helped Rangers upset Celtic in the Women’s Scottish Cup semi-final on Saturday.
Maclean, a teenage midfielder, has became a senior Scotland international due to her impressive form.
American striker Baucom, meanwhile, has scored goals for Hibs on a regular basis this year.
