With a perfect January, Patrick Bamford and Dan James are nominated for an award.
Dan James and Patrick Bamford of Leeds United are the nominees for the PFA Championship Fans’ Player of the Month award for January.
After eight games in 2024, the Whites have not lost and have won seven of them in the league and FA Cup.
With a worldie in the FA Cup against Peterborough and the first game against Cardiff six days later, Bamford’s 2024 got off to the ideal start on New Year’s Day, when he scored in the 3-0 victory over Birmingham.
The forward finished January with four goals and two assists for Leeds, including the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Norwich City.
Dan James, who impressed in January with three goals and three assists before leaving the game against Norwich due to injury, is also nominated, joining Bamford.
James has contributed 17 goals in 29 games this season in all competitions, solidifying Leeds’ place in the promotion debate.
Adam Armstrong, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Ryan Hardie, and Ben Sheaf are among the contenders for January’s PFA Player of the Month award, so Bamford and James will have tight competition.
