TRANSFER UPDATE: Man United and West Ham United enter race for Brazilian midfielder Andre

According to sources, West Ham United and Manchester United are prepared to compete for Andre, the midfield player for Fluminense.

Andre, a Brazilian midfielder, had long been linked to Fulham under Marco Silva, who appeared prepared to make a bid for the 23-year-old in the summer.
But this never came to pass. Although it was rumored that Manchester United was interested in the summer as well, they ultimately opted to sign Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, who hasn’t impressed for the Red Devils this year.

It appears Manchester United and West Ham United, managed by David Moyes, may be prepared to move for the Brazilian either the January or summer transfer window.

Fulham reportedly see Andre as a replacement for Joao Palhinha but Trivela disputes this and says that no contact has taken place between the Cottagers and Fluminsense.

Brazilian publication Trivela has reported that both United and the Hammers are reportedly interested in the midfield player. The Brazilian wants to discuss his future with his present club, Fluminense, now that the season is ended.

They came to an agreement with the two so that they could play in the Club World Cup, complete the season with the club, and then negotiate after the Brazilian team won the Copa Libertadores.

Now that this period of time has gone, Andre is eager to leave Fluminense and is planning to join the Premier League as soon as possible.

United is Keen about Andre
The Brazilian source continues by stating that West Ham and United are the teams most interested in

In an attempt to strengthen their midfield alternatives, the Red Devils may be wise to sign a player of this caliber, provided the price is appropriate.

Considering that the Red Devils have already lost Donny van de Beek and that Casemiro and Amrabat may be leaving at the end of the year, acquiring Andre would be a wise move.
