Reuell Walters, an Arsenal youth player, is reportedly attracting interest from Goztepe, which could ultimately result in a transfer to Southampton, according to a report in the Turkish media. Because of his expiring contract, the 19-year-old is anticipated to leave Arsenal this summer. According to Fotospor’s report on Goztepe’s pursuit of the right back, Walters has already received an offer from the Super Liga team. Sport Republic owns the Turkish club and is presently attempting to finalize a contract for the young player.
Walters allegedly received word that a move to Southampton will be considered if Goztepe is successful. He has been given the opportunity to potentially join the Saints as part of the negotiations, since Sport Republic also owns the bulk of the Championship team. The circumstances surrounding the Arsenal youngster are also being watched by clubs in the Netherlands and Belgium. Walters joined Arsenal as an U16 in 2020 and has been there ever since. The defender believes it’s time to move on and start his professional career somewhere else, though, as he hasn’t made the breakthrough.
