Sunderland are reportedly demanding a substantial £30 million for their attacker, Jack Clarke, during the summer transfer window. The club has placed a valuation between £25 million and £30 million on Clarke, who has been at the center of considerable transfer speculation in recent windows.
A year ago, Burnley made unsuccessful bids to acquire Clarke, and Italian club Lazio also attempted to sign the former Leeds United player last January. Following Southampton’s promotion to the Premier League under Russell Martin, they have also been linked with a move for Clarke. Clarke had an impressive season in the Championship, scoring 15 goals and providing four assists. Recently, Premier League clubs Wolves and Crystal Palace have expressed interest in Clarke. According to Give Me Sport, Sunderland is holding firm on their valuation of £25 million to £30 million for the attacker.
It seems unlikely that Clarke will sign a new contract with Sunderland, as he has two years remaining on his current deal. Additionally, Tottenham is entitled to a percentage of any transfer fee received for Clarke.
