Town’s promotion sparks surge in tattoo demand.

Paul Stansby, co-founder of Lucky 13 Tattoo in Ipswich, Suffolk, has witnessed a surge in business as Ipswich fans seek a lasting tribute to their promotion-winning team. Offering £20 “flash” tattoos to commemorate the club’s success, Stansby emphasized the significance of the tattoos as a symbol of the town’s pride in its football team. “Wear it with pride,” he urged, highlighting the deep-rooted loyalty of Ipswich supporters.

Reflecting on the overwhelming response, Stansby described the influx of customers as “non-stop,” with phones ringing incessantly and the shop bustling with activity. The demand was so high that the shop struggled to keep up, with phones needing constant charging due to the incessant calls and the shop being inundated with customers.

Customers were given a choice of 12 smaller “flash tattoos” to serve as a permanent reminder of the club’s Premiership promotion. Ipswich Town’s promotion was celebrated with an open-top bus parade, drawing an impressive turnout of 55,000 supporters lining the streets to revel in their team’s success.

With Ipswich Town set to return to the Premier League for the first time since 2002, lifelong supporter Dean Rusher expressed his pride and loyalty to the team. Rusher, who has been “a Blue” his entire life, decided to get a tattoo to demonstrate his unwavering support. Despite acknowledging the challenges ahead, Rusher remains hopeful, believing that anything is possible for the team after their promotion.
