This week, Tiaki Chan returned to Wigan Warriors following a loan with Hull FC. The forward was captured on camera by Sky Sports during Wigan’s Friday night loss to Warrington Wolves, despite not being included in the Black and Whites’ 21-man roster for this weekend’s match against Catalans Dragons. It is now confirmed by Hull Live that Chan has rejoined his parent club. He signed with Wigan from Catalans Dragons earlier this year, but he was unable to play against them last week.
The 24-year-old forward made his London Broncos debut two months prior and has since made five appearances while on loan at Hull. Against the Castleford Tigers, he scored a single try.
King Vuniyayawa, the prop on loan, suffered an injury that coincides with Chan’s departure. The Fijian suffered an ankle injury during the altercation; the club is now assessing the extent of the damage. In addition, Ligi Sao received a red card for a hit on Sam Tomkins. On Monday, the RFL’s Match Review Panel will examine the incident. Sao was previously suspended at one point this year.
