In 2023, Hernandez, who is classified as an infielder but has played shortstop most of his career, joined the Florida Complex League. The infielder played in 38 games last season and slashed.179/.308/.257. He had a hamate excision from his left hand surgically performed.

Crampton played at the Single-A level with the Delmarva Shorebirds. He is listed as an infielder as well, but he prefers to play shortstop. He received a slashline of .196/.272/.256 in 111 games. He underwent Tommy John surgery in his right elbow.

Crampton, a position player, is probably going to make a comeback sooner than a pitcher, but only as a designated hitter. He still has a long way to go in his rehabilitation before he can play again.

Ultimately, Pinto, a right-hander, had Tommy John surgery to repair his right elbow UCL. Because of his recuperation time as a starting pitcher and his 2023 performance with the Double-A Bowie Baysox, Pinto is arguably the most important of the three.

Pinto pitched 81.1 innings with a 3.10 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 17 games that he started. He was aiming to show off for the Big League club and participate in Spring Training.

“It was such a beautiful experience for me,” Pinto said according to the Toronto Observer. “I’m really looking forward to growing and developing so I can be there. That’s where I want to be.

Instead, it is unlikely he will be able to take the mound in game action until mid-2025 at the earliest.
