Graham Wright’s departure left the seat vacant.
According to reports, Collingwood is considering Justin Reid, the list manager for Adelaide, as a possible Graham Wright replacement for the head of football position. After Collingwood won the 2023 premiership, Wright resigned from the role, but he was persuaded to take a year off. He has, however, now been appointed Carlton’s future CEO. As the club reorganises its leadership, assistant coach Brendon Bolton has already been appointed to fill in for the 2024 season at Collingwood. Reid, who joined the Crows in 2015, has a history of acquiring important players such as Jordan Dawson, Izak Rankine, and Bryce Gibbs. In addition to his vast expertise, Craig Kelly, the current president of Collingwood, formed TLA Worldwide, where he worked as a player management for 14 years.
Besides Reid, Collingwood contacted Chris Davies of Port Adelaide and Danny Daly of Brisbane for the position, however both have chosen to remain with their current teams.
This recruitment effort follows the departure of Collingwood CEO Jeff Browne after his three-year tenure .
