Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl is expected to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window, as the team looks to address weaknesses exposed in the early months of the season. Despite being the result of an extensive search for a defender, van Aken struggled to make an impact, and his time at Hillsborough ended with just 33 appearances over four years.
