After a resurgent stint with the Atlanta Braves, the 40-year-old right-hander Jesse Chavez is set to retire after the 2024 season. Having spent 16 years in the major leagues, Chavez made this announcement during an interview on MLB Network Radio’s “Loud Outs.” Despite currently being a free agent, Chavez expressed his desire to conclude his career on a positive note and highlighted the unique opportunity to retire while still feeling healthy.
