Despite a flurry of speculation linking the Black Cats with various strikers and wingers throughout the month, they eventually secured the signing of Romaine Mundle from Standard Liege. The 20-year-old’s arrival is expected to intensify competition among Sunderland’s attacking options, potentially challenging players like Abdoullah Ba and Patrick Roberts for a spot in the lineup.
