According to The Star, Sheffield Wednesday is considering a former Arsenal and Liverpool youth player as a potential transfer option for the summer. The Owls are preparing for a busy transfer window after successfully securing their spot in the Championship under dramatic circumstances. With manager Danny Röhl having extended his contract, the club is now focusing on bringing in new players before the pre-season starts.

The Star reports that free agent Ovie Ejaria is of interest to Sheffield Wednesday, having trained with the team towards the end of their recent campaign. Although he couldn’t be registered in time, the 26-year-old midfielder could be a signing target for the 2024/25 season.

Spurs welcome back 2 injured starters against Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur is poised to regain two key players, Richarlison and Pedro Porro, who have recovered from recent injuries, just in time for their clash against Arsenal. As the Gunners prepare to visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, they do so with a largely fit squad, with only Jurrien Timber potentially unavailable due to injury, pending a late fitness assessment. Manager Ange Postecoglou shared positive updates regarding Richarlison and Pedro Porro, confirming their fitness for the upcoming match. “Yeah, Pedro and Richy trained well this week, and both [are] available,” Postecoglou announced via Spurs’ official social media channels. However, the news was not as favorable for Destiny Udogie, who remains sidelined after suffering an injury setback. Udogie revealed via Instagram that his season had been cut short due to an injury, subsequently undergoing surgery on his left quadriceps. With Udogie out, Ben Davies is expected to step in for the match against Arsenal. Additionally, Oliver Skipp will also miss out due to a knock, as confirmed by Postecoglou. While Spurs continue to contend with longer-term absences, including Fraser Forster, Ryan Sessegnon, and Manor Solomon, their overall squad strength appears relatively intact for the upcoming fixture. Despite the injury setbacks, Tottenham’s lineup is expected to be close to full strength, with only Udogie considered a regular starter from the list of absentees. Both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are set to approach the match without significant excuses regarding player availability, indicating that both sides will be ready to compete at their best on the pitch this weekend.
