Race Heating Up: Sunderland, Burnley, and Rival Clubs Target In-Form Celtic Star
Sunderland, along with Burnley and several other English clubs, are reportedly monitoring Celtic’s in-form young striker, Daniel Cummings. The 18-year-old has been in scintillating form, scoring five goals in as many UEFA Youth League games and netting 17 goals in just 14 appearances for Celtic B this season. While Sunderland have bolstered their attack with the signings of Wilson Isidor and the promising Ahmed Abdullahi, as well as the impressive form of Eliezer Mayenda, they may yet be looking to add more depth with Cummings, despite already having a strong youth setup in the striker position. If he joins, Cummings would face stiff competition, even within Sunderland’s youth ranks, from players like Trey Ogunuyi, who has scored nine goals in seven games this season.
