Bryce Elder, despite starting the 2024 season in the minor leagues after being an All-Star in 2023, showcased an impressive performance in his first start. He pitched six and a third innings without conceding any runs, allowing only two hits and no walks while striking out seven. Zach Logue, entering the game in relief, continued the dominance by pitching two and two-thirds scoreless innings. Logue, with significant experience in the big leagues, permitted just two hits and a walk while striking out two. Collectively, the duo limited the opposition to only five base runners and recorded nine strikeouts.
