Super Eagles star left out of Nottingham Forest’s 2024-25 squad

Nottingham Forest currently boasts three players on the Nigeria national football team.

Dennis and Awoniyi

Nottingham Forest has notably left Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Dennis out of their 2024-25 season roster, raising uncertainty about his future with the club, as reported by Soccernet.ng.

Dennis, who spent recent months away from the City Ground, joined Basaksehir on a short-term loan in September before moving to Watford on loan in January. Despite having two years left on his contract, Nottingham Forest, under Nuno Espírito Santo, appears willing to offload Dennis and three other players at a reduced price, despite his initial €16 million transfer fee.

Initially, Dennis seemed to have a place in Espírito Santo’s plans, starting the club’s first two pre-season matches. However, the forward has been absent from the squad for the last six games, raising questions about his standing at the club.

With the official squad list now released and Dennis excluded, reports suggest that Forest is eager to move him on to free up space within the team.

According to the Nottingham Post, Dennis faces the challenge of finding a new club, as he is clearly not part of the manager’s strategy for the season.
