A Southampton player is preparing to say goodbye and sign a 5-year deal with another club.
The 22-year-old is scheduled to travel to France on Tuesday, where he will begin his medical examinations with Strasbourg. Southampton has granted Mara permission to proceed with the transfer formalities, being satisfied with the €12 million offer received from the French club.
For the Saints, this deal provides a boost to their transfer funds, potentially aiding in securing another player in the final 10 days of the summer window.
Last season, Mara made 28 appearances for Southampton in the Championship, mostly as a substitute, scoring three goals in the league.
