Jake Vokins and Will Merry, two members of the SAINTS academy, have been loaned to Vanarama National League Eastleigh for the remainder of the season.
The two will work with former Saints goalkeeper Kelvin Davis, who is currently in charge of Eastleigh, a non-league rival team that is attempting to avoid relegation from the fifth division.
Vokins has been in the National League before; he played for Woking on loan the previous season, making 15 games, before rejoining the Saints.

In both the league and cup, the 24-year-old has made five appearances for the first squad. In 2020, he scored in a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield.
Merry, 18, had another successful season playing for both the under-21 and under-18 teams. This will be his first senior loan transfer of his career.
“The club wishes Jake and Will all the best for the run-in and will monitor their progress for the remainder of the campaign,” said an additional statement on Southampton’s website.
With six games left in the season, Eastleigh is only three points above the drop zone in 18th place in the National League. Both players will be eligible to be selected prior to today’s match against Woking.
