The new stadium issue keeps resurfacing, prompting AC Milan and Inter representatives to meet with the Mayor today.
Sky reported last night that Gerry Cardinale is in Italy and had a “marathon meeting” with Milan directors about upcoming strategies.
According to Peppe Di Stefano of Sky (via MilanNews), a meeting took place at Palazzo Marino (City Hall) involving Mayor Beppe Sala, AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni, and Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello. Although initially stated, Cardinale was not present.
Updates on the discussions are expected, likely focusing on Webuild’s proposal to renovate San Siro. Meanwhile, the Rossoneri leadership seems keen on constructing a new stadium in San Donato.
Cardinale has emphasized his desire to recreate an iconic venue, likening the Rossoneri’s situation to that of the New York Yankees. While recreating San Siro may not be feasible, the goal is to create a better fan experience and increase club revenue.
