Six Super League players charged as Warrington Wolves suffer big loss ahead of Wigan Warriors fixture

Halfback George Williams will be absent for WARRINGTON WOLVES’ match against Wigan Warriors on Saturday due to a one-match suspension notice he received for Grade B Dangerous Contact during his team’s victory against Catalans Dragons on Saturday night. Williams was handed the higher end of the Grade B sentence despite his outstanding play for the Wolves in 2024. In other news, Leigh Leopards players Frankie Halton and Brad Dwyer were both fined £250 despite being charged with Grade B Dangerous Contact and Grade B Trip, respectively.

Similarly, Luis Roberts of the Leeds Rhinos, Will Lovell of the London Broncos, and George Griffin of the Castleford Tigers were all charged with Grade B Dangerous Contact; however, all three have been fined £250 and will not be suspended, so they will be eligible to play this weekend.
