Scottie Barnes Provides His First Update after Hand Surgery

Scottie Barnes is in high spirits. The Toronto Raptors forward has had an unusual few weeks after undergoing his first surgery as an NBA player over two weeks ago to treat a fracture in his left hand’s third metacarpal bone.

“Becoming better every day. It just takes time, but other than that, I’m feeling great,” he said to reporters in Detroit. Although it appears doubtful that Barnes will return this season, there is still no formal date for his return. A normal rehabilitation for Barnes would probably take him until the end of the season, and given how the Raptors have performed this year, it’s unlikely that Toronto will press for his return. “I simply believe that was merely”.

When Barnes attempted to block a layup attempt by Jonathan Kuminga, Immanuel Quickley unintentionally kicked him in the hand. Barnes described the incident as “just like a weird injury.” If Barnes has had any silver linings lately, it’s been seeing his teammates take advantage of their chances, he added. Quickley and RJ Barrett have been given more responsibility, and Ochai Agbaji has moved into Barnes’ starting lineup.

“I can’t wait for them,” he exclaimed.

Being able to watch those boys have fun when they play. They are currently seizing the opportunity that is presented to them. Thus, it’s enjoyable. This season, Barnes has played in all 60 of Toronto’s games before suffering the injury against the Golden State Warriors. He’s missed Toronto’s last five games with the Raptors winning just once over that stretch.
