Saints should fear Man City’s “immense talent”

Manchester City continued their Champions League campaign with a dominant 5-0 win over Sparta Prague at the Etihad. City controlled the match from start to finish, putting themselves third in the new-look Champions League table. This win marked a record-breaking 26-game unbeaten streak in the competition, surpassing Manchester United’s record. During this run, City has scored 69 goals, conceded only 18, and claimed 18 victories.

Wednesday’s victory was powered by goals from Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Matheus Nunes, and John Stones, who scored in back-to-back games. Foden opened the scoring just three minutes in, setting the pace for an unstoppable night. Haaland later thrilled fans with a stunning acrobatic backheel goal, and Nunes sealed the night with a penalty in the 88th minute.

City took 22 shots in total, with 10 on target, showcasing a well-rounded offensive performance. Foden was a standout, registering 78 touches, 90% pass accuracy, and creating two chances. His efforts earned him high praise, with fans and pundits hoping to see him start against Southampton in their next Premier League match.

With Southampton struggling defensively, Foden’s creative and technical skill could be key for City in the coming clash.
