In a surprise move, 21-year-old Cole McKinnon, a promising talent from Rangers, has been drafted into the Scotland Under-21 squad for their upcoming Euro 2025 qualifier against Kazakhstan. McKinnon’s inclusion comes as a replacement for three players who have withdrawn from contention just days before the crucial match.

The sidelined players include Kai Fotheringham from Dundee United, Josh Mulligan from Dundee, and Ben McPherson from Celtic, currently on loan at Queen’s Park.
