Reports: Patriots Undrafted Rookie Roundup

The Patriots have wrapped up their 2024 NFL Draft selections and are now focusing on adding undrafted rookie free agents to fill out their roster, inching closer to the 90-player maximum. While the draft emphasized offense, it’s expected that they would shore up defensive depth with their signings, particularly targeting the second and third levels of the defense.

Among the incoming prospects hoping to earn a spot in Foxborough, there’s a chance for one of them to re-establish the tradition of undrafted players making the team’s opening day roster, a streak that lasted for 19 seasons until last year.

On the offensive side, LSU’s Charles Turner brings versatility with 27 starts primarily at center but also at left guard and right tackle. Zuri Henry from UTEP offers size and experience playing both tackle spots. DeShaun Fenwick from Oregon State provides early-down potential as a running back, while Jacob Warren from Tennessee adds depth at tight end.

Defensively, Dell Pettus from Troy showcases versatility in the secondary and special teams skills. Mikey Victor from Alabama State brings size and length to the cornerback position, while Kaleb Ford-Dement from Texas State offers athleticism and potential for the slot. John Morgan III from Arkansas and Jett Bush from Texas, both linebackers, possess athleticism and special teams capabilities. Jontrey Hunter from Georgia State rounds out the group with his size and experience, likely aiming to make an impact on special teams.
