The Senior Cup final between Reading Under-21s and Marlow this year will take place in Sandhurst on May 15, as confirmed by the Berks and Bucks FA.
As they contend in the PL2 play-offs, Noel Hunt’s Royals hope to achieve two victories and exact revenge on Marlow for their elimination from the semifinals the previous year.
Similarly, Marlow will play Leatherhead in the play-off final on Sunday in an attempt to advance from the Isthmian League – South Central.
Replicating the inaugural Senior Cup final from 1879, Marlow emerged victorious 13 times, with their most recent victory coming in 1994. Meanwhile, the Royals secured their fourth championship in 2022.
Tickets will go on sale soon. The game will take place at Sandhurst’s SB Stadium, which they share with Bracknell Town, at 7:45 p.m.
In order to cap off another unforgettable season for the people of Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, both teams are hoping to see a sizable crowd beneath the lights.
