Players to watch
Ismael Bennacer
It remains unclear whether Bennacer will use our Piol in Adli in the middle of the park due to the unavailability of Musah. The Algerian midfielder is yet to play a full 90 minutes, or even 45 minutes, but has looked good since returning from injury a few weeks ago. His entry into the system could be a savior for Pioli, as he offers considerable protection and understands pressing techniques well. His return would be a huge boost given his experience compared to the current starting eleven.
Lorenzo Colombo
The Primavera product is on loan again, but being with Monza is his most exciting and best-trained opportunity. Colombo has scored three goals from one assist so far, but they have all come early in the season. He is on a dry spell, but as we know, ex-Milan players love to mock the San Siro, so the defender will have to keep an eye on him. This is a great opportunity for him to prove to management that he deserves a place next year. Alessandro Florenzi
Florenzi played the last few games on the left side and did a decent job. against Newcastle. In particular, he seems to thrive on limiting late runs from full-backs. This is a big chance for him to show that he can usurp the Calabrian right-back starting spot due to the Milan captain’s struggles. It would be good to see Florenzi whip in some nice crosses for Giroud here.
Prediction: Milan 3:1 Monza
