Sky Deutschland reports that St. Pauli’s Eric da Silva Moreira is set to join Nottingham Forest.
The 18-year-old Eric da Silva Moreira, a product of St. Pauli’s youth system, made his first-team debut in March, coming off the bench against 1.FC Nuremberg. This was his only appearance for St. Pauli, who have since secured promotion to the Bundesliga.
Despite interest from several Bundesliga sides, Moreira has decided to move to the Premier League, where Nottingham Forest are eager to sign him. Moreira, a member of Germany’s U17 World Cup-winning squad, is managed by Jorge Mendes. Sky Deutschland highlights Mendes’ close ties with Nottingham Forest, which may have facilitated the club’s pursuit of the young talent.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg reported on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Nottingham Forest are ‘close’ to securing Moreira’s signature. He mentions that there are ‘concrete talks,’ likely between Nottingham Forest and St. Pauli, for a deal estimated at around €1.5 million.
