Leeds United are poised to secure a comeback to the Premier League following victories in 12 of their past 13 Championship fixtures.
Paul Robinson, the former England goalkeeper, expressed confidence in Leeds United’s ability to secure promotion back to the Premier League this season.
Working as a pundit for Sky Sports, Robinson observed Leeds’ victory over Millwall on Sunday, where goals from Wilfried Gnonto and substitute Dan James led to their eighth consecutive home league win.
Currently joint-top with 82 points in the Championship standings, Leeds faces stiff competition from second-placed Leicester City, who have a game in hand.
Ipswich Town follows closely behind in third position, having won seven of their last eight matches, while Southampton sits in fourth place, trailing by nine points but with two games in hand.
Southampton’s upcoming matches against all top three teams, including Leeds on the final day, will be crucial. Robinson noted that Leeds’ fate might hinge on their last game against Southampton, depending on whether Southampton is contending for automatic promotion or focusing on the playoffs.
Robert Snodgrass, a former Leeds midfielder, echoed Robinson’s sentiments, citing Leeds’ momentum and defensive stability as key factors in their promotion bid.
