Before they play the Utah Jazz on Saturday in the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets have some excellent news. According to the team’s injury report, Nikola Jokic, an All-Star for the Nuggets, is expected to play. Jokic is coping with a right arm contusion.

Jokic recently recorded another outstanding triple-double for the team against the Boston Celtics on Thursday, demonstrating that the big man is persevering despite his agony. In the game, Jokic scored 32 points, pulled down 12 rebounds, and sent out 11 assists. The Nuggets won 115-109 over the Eastern Conference’s best team, proving they had all they needed.

Jokic is a strong candidate to take home this season’s NBA Most Valuable Player title. 12 rebounds and 26 points are the center’s average per game. He’s almost reaching a triple-double average each game in addition to dishing out nine assists. Jokic is simply leading his club to another NBA playoff run with his jaw-dropping perfection in the game. Right now, the Nuggets are third in the Western Conference with a 43-20 record.

Vlatko Cancar will not be available for Denver on Saturday due to his ongoing surgical recovery. The Nuggets have won seven of their previous eight games, and they are on a roll. Field-goal percentage is only one of the many statistical categories in which Jokic leads the squad. The large man is hitting about 58% of his field goals. The Nuggets  are the defending NBA Champions and look just as sharp as they did last season.

Jokic will try to keep up his hot shooting as the Nuggets and Jazz tip off Saturday at 10:00 Eastern. Utah is 28-35 on the season.
