The summer transfer window is approaching, and six teams, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, and Liverpool, are reportedly interested in signing Nottingham Forest star Murillo. The Brazilian defender, who cost £12 million to sign from Corinthians last summer, has been an excellent performer for Forest this year, making 27 games.
The 21-year-old was being watched by Manchester City, West Ham, and Napoli prior to signing with Forest. But given Forest’s financial difficulties, Murillo might soon be moving again.
Forest is in the relegation zone despite its best efforts, having lost four points due to their violation of Premier League profit and sustainability regulations. Whether or not they escape relegation, Forest will probablymust sell a number of players in order to maintain financial stability.
Murillo is among the best possibilities to depart given his age, skill, and potential. The Mail claims that Arsenal and Chelsea are already expressing interest in him after seeing how well he performed.
Newcastle and Liverpool are also monitoring the situation because they are curious about how well Murillo has settled into English culture. Foreign teams are also showing interest; Paris Saint-Germain recently paid £34 million to sign fellow Brazilian talents Lucas Beraldo and Gabriel Moscardo.
With Lionel Messi and Neymar departing, the team is still trying to reassemble, and they are thinking of making a bid for Murillo this summer. Barcelona is also considering Murillo, who they believe might work well together defensively as a young player alongside Pau Cubarsi.
