Nottingham Forest’s five-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League ended with a home defeat to an in-form Fulham at the City Ground. Nuno Espírito Santo’s side had previously secured two wins and three draws, including a standout 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield.

Despite averaging just 40.2% possession, the third-lowest in the league, and a 77.7% pass accuracy, Forest managed to collect enough points to make relegation seem like a distant concern.
Forest attempted to sign Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord over the summer. The 23-year-old scored 26 goals last season and could have been a major boost.
Though Wood and Awoniyi are capable, Gimenez’s all-around play and goal-scoring threat might have elevated Forest to new heights.
