Nottingham Forest is close to securing their seventh signing, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side is among the few Premier League clubs making a significant impact in the transfer market this summer. Evangelos Marinakis has already provided six new signings for the Forest boss, but there’s still room for more arrivals in the coming weeks.

Although the season is just days away, Forest has until the end of the month to secure additional recruits. It seems the Reds are eager to strengthen their squad further to boost Nuno’s chances for the upcoming campaign.

On Tuesday morning, Fabrizio Romano provided an update on how close Forest is to securing their seventh summer signing. As has been the trend since their promotion to the top flight, it’s been a busy transfer window at the City Ground. The Reds have done most of their business early, giving new signings time to settle.

Despite their activity, Forest is still looking to add more players. It appears that the seventh signing is nearing completion. According to Romano, Talleres’ manager confirmed that Ramon Sosa has decided to leave the club, with his next adventure taking him to the Premier League after pushing for a move away from Argentina. The deal is reportedly close, with a fee around £11m.

Only the final formalities remain, and Forest is on the brink of receiving a “Here We Go” from the Italian journalist. Ramon Sosa is finally about to seal his move to Forest after a frustrating saga. The Paraguayan winger rebelled against Talleres training last week, determined to join Forest, which seems to have led to the deal going through.

The Argentine club’s president had previously resisted letting Sosa leave this summer, but the player’s refusal to train appears to have swayed the negotiations. Forest fans will hope Sosa’s determination to secure this move pays off when he arrives in England.
