Nottingham Forest’s impressive summer is poised to continue as they near their sixth signing in the next few hours.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will play their final pre-season friendly of their Spain tour on Friday night before returning to the City Ground.
It has been a successful start to the summer for the Reds, both on and off the pitch, with Forest remaining unbeaten in their three friendlies.
The players have looked fresh following their summer break, and the new signings are proving to be instant hits.
But Evangelos Marinakis is not done yet, as the Forest owner is set to secure another signing in the coming hours.
Nottingham Forest set for sixth summer signing
Forest have made five signings already this summer, though only four are available for Nuno to select since Marko Stamenic was instantly loaned out.
After a season of battling relegation, Marinakis is determined to provide Nuno with the tools needed to improve the team.
This is Nuno’s first summer transfer window at Forest to make significant changes, and he is doing just that.
Although the next signing will not join Forest on their pre-season trip to Spain, Nuno is set to add another attacking weapon to his squad.
According to journalist Uriel Lugt, Forest are ‘very close’ to securing the signature of winger Ramon Sosa.

Forest reportedly raised their offer for the CA Talleres attacker to around €12m (£10m) plus add-ons.
The 24-year-old is eager to make the move to the Premier League, with a full agreement possible in the coming hours.
Forest adding another attacking option
So far this summer, Forest have added Eric da Silva Moreira to their squad, complementing their strong lineup of wingers.
There has been speculation about the futures of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga in recent weeks.
Newcastle United are reportedly keen to sign Elanga, while Tottenham Hotspur has shown interest in Hudson-Odoi.
In Sosa, Forest could be adding a winger who has shown a lot of promise in Argentina, netting seven goals and providing six assists in his 21 appearances this season.
Forest fans will hope these attacking additions do not lead to a late exit for either Elanga or Hudson-Odoi.
