“No  chance”:  David Ornstein  believes  there  is  no  way  a  “unbelievable”  star  could  join  Arsenal  in  January.

According to David  Ornstein,  Douglas  Luiz  from  Aston Villa  won’t  be available  for  Arsenal to join in January.

In the   winter  transfer  window, the  Gunners  are  anticipated  to be  looking  for  a new  midfield  player. Many  names  have  been  associated  with  them,  but  none  more  so  than  Villa  star  Luiz. Ornstein, nevertheless, does not  think  this  deal  will  close.

Douglas Luiz, a  star  for  Aston  Villa,  has  long  been  a  target  for  Arsenal. On  the  final  day  of  the  summer  transfer window  of the  previous  year,  the  Gunners made  a  concerted  effort  to  recruit  him. Despite  their  repeated  advances,  Villa  held  their  ground  and  wouldn’t  budge. After  that,  Luiz  committed  to  Villa  for  the  long  run,  and he  has  been  one  of  their  key  players  ever  since.

Despite  being  an  integral  member  of  Unai  Emery’s  team, he  is reportedly  Arsenal’s  top target  for  the  winter  transfer  window. But  according  to  Ornstein,  he  doesn’t  think  this  will  happen.

When  a fan  inquired  about Luiz’s  potential January  transfer  to Arsenal  during  his Q&A  on The  Athletic,  Ornstein  responded, “I don’t  think  so.”

“There is admiration for him among some at Arsenal (hence them trying to sign him the summer before last) but I don’t think that view is shared by everyone. More importantly, the view at Aston Villa has been clear: no chance.”

Arsenal‘s chances of signing Douglas Luiz are becoming slimmer every day.

The Brazilian is having an amazing season at Villa. Unai Emery depends on his brilliance in the middle of the park and the fact that the Villans are doing so well in Europe as well as in the  Premier League  puts them in a strong position.

The only way Arsenal can sign the ‘unbelievable‘ Luiz is if they agree to pay a ridiculous amount of money to convince Villa.

That is extremely unlikely after how much they spent in the summer transfer window.
