Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer emotionally reunited with his teammates at the club’s training ground on Monday as he progresses in his recovery from a cardiac arrest suffered during a Premier League match last month.
The 29-year-old Welsh international, who was released from the hospital on December 21 after receiving an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) device, had experienced the cardiac incident in the 59th minute of a match against Bournemouth on December 16, which was later abandoned.
“I’ve really enjoyed coming in and seeing all the lads. I haven’t seen them since what happened, so it’s really nice to see them all and be back in the building,” Lockyer said.
