Newcastle United have reportedly intensified efforts to secure a double La Liga signing, targeting Williot Swedberg of Celta Vigo and Las Palmas talent Alberto Moleiro. Scouts were sent to observe the duo, signaling Eddie Howe’s intent to bolster his midfield options and outmaneuver Arsenal in the transfer race for 2025.

 Newcastle’s Recent Form
The Magpies head into the post-international break period on a high after a convincing 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest.

Their resurgence this season has been closely tied to Alexander Isak’s return to goal-scoring form. Despite rumors of stalled contract talks with the Swedish striker, Isak has reassured fans of his commitment, telling The Daily Mail:
> “I’ve never been affected by transfer rumors. My focus is fully on Newcastle and achieving a great season with the team.”

 La Liga Targets in Focus
Caught Offside reports Newcastle are keen on Swedberg and Moleiro, two highly-rated attacking midfielders. Swedberg, just 20, has stood out for Celta Vigo with two goals and three assists in limited minutes. Moleiro, at 21, has scored four goals in 13 La Liga appearances, cementing his role in the Las Palmas setup and earning praise as one of the league’s top young talents.

 Competitive Transfer Market
With interest from Arsenal, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, and Inter Milan, Newcastle would send a strong message by securing both players. These additions could address squad depth issues and enhance their midfield’s attacking threat.

 Strategic Move for the Future

Landing Swedberg and Moleiro could be a defining summer statement for Newcastle.

Their acquisition would not only enhance the team’s quality but also reaffirm the club’s ambition on the global stage.
