Though there is still a lot of action to be had on the college football recruiting path, twelve of the top 20 quarterbacks in the class of 2025 have committed before they finish their senior year.
The most recent information on seven uncommitted quarterbacks in the 2025 cycle was provided by national recruiting analyst Tom Loy. Julian Lewis, a commit to USC and the No. 14 overall prospect, was cited as a potential transfer target to Alabama, Georgia, or Auburn in the final stages of the process.
Twelve quarterback prospects in the class of 2025 have received offers from Georgia. Top targets George McIntyre and Bryce Underwoods are already gone. However, if Kirby Smart shifts his focus away from Lewis, the Bulldogs have a solid four-star in Matt Zollers.
Nebraska is expected to strike gold again in 2025 after selecting the No. 2 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to Loy. In the competition for the best signal-caller in the class, the Cornhuskers have an advantage over Ole Miss and Texas A&M. Along with providing the most recent information on Penn State, Florida, and South Carolina, among other teams, Loy noted the Aggies had an abundance of backup alternatives.
Nebraska a heavy favorite for TJ Lateef; Ole Miss and Texas A&M involved
Loy: “I was very close to putting in a Crystal Ball in for TJ Lateef to Nebraska. He’s got the official visit set for April 26. I’m going to hold off because I’m just not 100%. What I am sure of is the fact that Nebraska leads, and that came directly from him. He said, ‘All of the coaches connect with me once a day. That’s the reason why they have an edge. It’s about how they communicate. They showed me a lot of love.’ Clearly, Matt Rhule and Marcus Satterfield are all doing a great job. They are separating from the pack. The only visit he’s got lined up is a trip to Lincoln in April. Ole Miss and Texas A&M are the other heavy hitters involved here.”
