Nottingham Forest is set to sign a bargain player Murillo has been waiting six months for the club to acquire.
Nottingham Forest is gearing up for another busy transfer window, with several players set to join and others likely to depart.
So far, a number of out-of-contract players have left, including Odysseas Vlachodimos, who joined Newcastle. The incoming transfers have been slow but expected, with Marko Stamenic signing before joining Olympiacos on loan, Eric da Silva Moreira arriving from St Pauli, and Elliot Anderson coming from Newcastle.
Forest is now poised to sign a player recommended by Murillo back in January: Carlos Miguel. Murillo, speaking on Benja Me Mucho’s YouTube channel, revealed that he suggested Miguel to Forest when they were searching for a new goalkeeper. The Reds are set to secure the 6ft 8in goalkeeper from Corinthians for £4 million, aiming to increase competition for Matz Sels’ position.
Murillo mentioned that both Vlachodimos and Matt Turner had failed to impress manager Nuno Espirito Santo, prompting Forest to explore other options. Although signing Miguel in January wasn’t feasible, Forest has now managed to secure him for the summer.

Miguel is expected to make a significant impact at Forest. The club has thoroughly vetted the new goalkeeper, hoping he can shine on Trentside. While Sels has been impressive, having two strong goalkeepers is a positive move. Murillo seems pleased with this signing, which might also influence his decision to stay for another season.
Miguel, known for his remarkable saves and assertive presence on the field, looks to be a promising addition to Forest, reminiscent of Brice Samba’s influential stint. His recent performances, including a standout save against Sao Paulo and a yellow card for defending a teammate, highlight his potential to be a key player for Forest.
