Midfielder Pyry Hannola of SJK Seinajoki is reportedly being watched by West Bromwich Albion.

The Baggies are closely monitoring 22-year-old Hannola, who has made a strong impression in the Finnish top flight this season. As the Veikkausliiga campaign nears its conclusion, with the season running from April to next month, Hannola has been a standout performer. The former Finland Under-21 international has scored four goals and provided five assists in 19 league appearances so far.

In addition to his league contributions, Hannola has also scored three goals and made four assists in two Finnish domestic cup competitions. Since joining SJK from Midtjylland in 2021, the midfielder has gradually established himself and has now amassed 111 appearances for the club.

West Bromwich Albion, under the management of Carlos Corberan, have taken notice of Hannola’s development. However, due to financial constraints, the club is forced to be creative in the transfer market. A bargain deal for Hannola seems unlikely, as his contract with SJK runs until December 31, 2026. While transfer fees in Finnish football are generally low—with only five sales ever exceeding £1 million—Hannola’s current market value is estimated at €250,000 (£213,604) according to Transfermarkt.

It remains to be seen whether Albion will act on their interest in Hannola, who is versatile enough to play across the midfield or as a winger.
