MEETING TO CHOOSE NEW MANAGER SCHEDULED FOR MILAN EXECUTIVES

Top brass at Serie A powerhouses Milan will meet shortly to discuss Stefano Pioli’s future with the team and possible replacements.

Prior to today’s Milan derby versus Inter, RedBird owner Gerry Cardinale is reportedly in Milan, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews). Numerous other club executives are also in the area, so he’s not the only guy connected to Milan or RedBird.

Cardinale is scheduled to meet with a number of club officials in the near future, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Giorgio Furlani, and Geoffrey Moncada. They will discuss a variety of topics, but among them will be Pioli’s management predicament and future.

Paulo Fonseca and Julen Lopetegui are two names that are associated with the team; Pioli is anticipated to leave in the summer. Cardinale may also discuss the club’s planned new stadium with Giuseppe Sala, the mayor of the city. There may be more conversations.
