Celtic supporters will be hoping for more of the same performance that propelled the team into the Scottish Cup quarterfinals when they take on Kilmarnock at Parkhead tonight.
The fact that Kyogo Furuhashi returned to scoring form and that the performance overall had significantly improved thrilled the Celtic faithful.
For this reason, Mark Wilson thinks Brendan Rodgers at Celtic may have stumbled upon a fantastic new partnership.
Wilson said: “I thought he would have put Kyogo and Idah in. Kyogo can certainly play there and just goes to show you can score goals from that position.
“It doesn’t mean that when he drops deeper, he isn’t going to get opportunities, you know, it just means rejigging his game and timing his runs. “But he’s an intelligent player. It does look good.”

Kyogo and Idah could prove to be formidable players for Celtic this year.
Celtic had a potent front-line combination that dominated the Scottish Premiership over the years.
It is worth saying that Sutton and Larsson have been among the greatest teams in the modern era, and while I am not drawing comparisons between their combination against Kyogo and Idah, the fact is that having two strikers up front with varying skill sets does have benefits.
Kyogo’s job as a lone striker just doesn’t function under Rodgers’ system. Kyogo flourished under Ange in that smart, all-out offensive scheme that was so well-liked by Celtic supporters.
However, This Rodgers team’s build-up play outweighs Kyogo’s qqualities, so it appears that having Idah there to occupy defenders and open up more space for the Japanese striker is the better option.
That was demonstrated against St. Mirren last Sunday, and I have no doubt that it will be applied to Kilmarnock today as well.
