Liverpool hosted Manchester United on Sunday. Michael Owen will be a keen observer when two of his former clubs meet in a big Premier League clash this weekend.
Liverpool welcome Manchester United to Anfield and a win for the home side will mean more misery for their biggest rivals as they maintain their place at the top of the Premier League.
United limped out of Europe earlier this week as defeat to Bayern Munich meant they finished bottom of their group.
They must now regroup and visit Liverpool with last season’s 7-0 defeat still fresh in their minds. Owen, who represented both clubs in the conflict, expressed his opinion on the upcoming match.
“My concern about Manchester United is that they go to Anfield and lose 2-0, so some of the players will be relieved it wasn’t a 5-0 embarrassment,” said Owen,
“If I were them, I would pick a game, stick with it and hope to improve. I would say 2-0 to Liverpool. Itand’s win is relatively nice. Look at how these two teams are playing now.”
