Maximilian Beier to Liverpool – timing is everything!

Currently top of the table, Liverpool are in a great position ahead of the January transfer window. They also lead their group in the Europa League and Jürgen Klopp has balanced the two competitions very well so far. However, Jurgen Klopp is certainly not content to let his side rest on their laurels and has found a striker to bolster his strength in January. Liverpool have a stacked forward with Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz all established first team players. But with Salah set to join Egypt’s squad for the 2024 African Cup of Nations in mid-January and Jota injured, the Reds could sign a new striker in January.

In this regard, Maximilian Beier could be of great help to Liverpool if the club succeeds in continuing its transfer plans. Primarily operating as a center forward, Beier is also capable of operating out wide, which could suit Liverpool perfectly with Klopp’s rotating striker policy.

The 21-year-old is a huge talent with a bright future ahead of him and Klopp could develop him into a world-class striker for Liverpool. Maximilian Beier could prove to be a strong, long-term addition to the Reds’ attacking force. He could come to Anfield and make an immediate impact by adding depth to the squad. The youngster has scored 10 goals in 13 Bundesliga appearances this season and his numbers are likely to improve as he plays alongside established players at a bigger club.

Liverpool certainly have the funds to blow Beier’s €30m asking price next summer, and the fee could prove to be crushing in the long term if the German forward can fulfill his lofty potential at Anfield.
Maximilian Beier is hoping to cement his place in the Germany squad ahead of Euro 2024, so it will be interesting to see if he leaves Hoffenheim in January if Liverpool come in with a bigger offer.
