Lewis Hamilton’s Attitude Shift: Has the F1 Legend Given Up on Mercedes?

Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes Departure Looms: F1 Legend’s Attitude Shift Raises Concerns

With just three races left before joining Ferrari in 2025, Lewis Hamilton’s mindset has shifted dramatically. The seven-time world champion’s impending departure from Mercedes has sparked speculation about his motivation.

Former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner suggests Hamilton’s frustrations with the car have led to resignation. “He’s mentally checked out,” Steiner observed. Hamilton’s focus has shifted to Ferrari, and he’s no longer invested in Mercedes’ success.

In contrast, teammate George Russell remains driven, eager to prove his worth as the team’s future leader. Russell’s positivity starkly contrasts Hamilton’s pessimism, sparking concerns about the veteran driver’s mindset.

Hamilton’s struggles at the Brazil GP were telling. A dismal 11th-place finish prompted him to contemplate an early season exit. “This car is a disaster,” Hamilton exclaimed.

Steiner criticized Hamilton’s behavior, saying, “He complains about the car, sees the glass half empty. George, on the other hand, sees opportunity.” Hamilton’s experience and talent are undeniable, but his attitude has raised questions.

As Hamilton’s Mercedes chapter nears its close, the F1 community watches with bated breath. Will he rediscover his spark, or has his heart already left the building?

Hamilton’s impending departure has sparked debate about his legacy. Can he regain his motivation and end his Mercedes tenure on a high note, or will his frustrations continue to simmer?
