On Wednesday, G League Windy City Bulls and LaVine are set to have one final practice. He might play against the Hornets on Friday, provided his injured right foot recovers without any problems.
The G League club of the Bulls had a demanding practice day on Monday, a light practice on Tuesday, and an aggressive workout scheduled for Wednesday for injured guard Zach LaVine (right foot).
LaVine may make a comeback when the Bulls play the Hornets on Friday, according to coach Billy Donovan’s statement from Tuesday, provided there are no difficulties.
“The part that we’re most concerned about is when he started having to do all that cutting, how he responded,” Donovan stated. “He answered nicely. After we got through that, he is now getting more intense. He has missed seventeen games, so I’m not sure how many days the medical staff would like to see him. What do they consider to be a sufficient amount of time for him to get back on his feet? Do they think he has at least enough physical touch for them to be at ease if he were to resume playing?
It’s not as though the Bulls have needed LaVine’s help lately. The hope for LaVine and the Bulls is that he only adds to the chemistry and doesn’t disrupt it.
Donovan stated, “It’s not so much that he has to change his game.” Bringing that to the table for us is something he does exceptionally well. It’s crucial that he shoots the ball for us, especially if we want to make more three-pointers. As a squad, we haven’t produced many three-pointers. That’s something that he can do”.
”The Bulls’ next game is scheduled for Monday in Charlotte, North Carolina, if LaVine isn’t cleared to play by Friday. His foot would then have an additional two days to heal” The coach added.
