The Pittsburgh Steelers will use backup quarterback Mason Rudolph in Saturday’s crucial season finale, despite the fact that Kenny Pickett is well enough to play again. But, that might not have any bearing on Pickett’s situation in the future.
Though Pickett’s season hasn’t gone as planned, the Steelers still believe in him and see him as their franchise quarterback moving ahead, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
According to Rapoport, “the organization does not want to move on from Kenny Pickett after the season and does believe in him.” “I’m still really confident that he can start for the team.”

Pickett has just six touchdown passes and 2,070 passing yards in 12 starts this season. Regardless of the quarterback, Pittsburgh’s offense has been awful all season, at least until last week, when Rudolph appeared to be making significant progress. The fact that the Steelers believe the quarterback who provides them the best opportunity to win right now is the one who started the season third on their depth chart is concerning, even though one unfavorable rumor about Pickett has been refuted.
