LATEST UPDATE: Jets Sign Nine Players on Contracts for Reserve/Future

With the 2023 season behind them, the Jets have signed nine players to reserve/future deals, as is common at this time of year.

With a reserve/futures contract (also known as a “futures contract”), the rights to a specific player who did finish the previous season on a 53-man roster are granted to the Giants (or any other NFL team) Players from the practice squad, free agents, and street free agents are all included.

According to numerous sources, the nine players are as follows:

RB Jacques Patrick: A backup to Dalvin Cook during his time in college, Patrick has seen minimal playing time while bouncing around with several practice teams. The 231-pound, 6′ 2″ back has only had two NFL carries.

Malik Taylor, wide receiver: After joining the Jets as a free agent this past offseason, Taylor only saw a few plays of action for the Green Bay Packers.
